Loved reading Real Food for Pregnancy, but need more inspiration in the kitchen?

The Real Food for Pregnancy e-Cookbook is a perfect companion to the original book, providing an additional 30 nutrient-dense recipes.

They’re the same simple meals I personally make for my family and have used to nourish myself in preparation for pregnancy, throughout both of my pregnancies, and through postpartum recovery and breastfeeding.

Why you'll love the Real Food for Pregnancy e-Cookbook:

Nutritious & flavorful: Pregnancy is a key time to prioritize nutrient-dense foods. You’ll see many of the “foods to emphasize” from Ch 3 of Real Food for Pregnancy show up in these recipes. I show you how to make even the least-appealing of these foods taste good (ahem… liver… ahem).

Fast & easy: We’re all strapped on time, especially if you have kids or a busy career (or both). Oh hey, that’s me! That’s why I included a number of Instant Pot and slow cooker recipes. Save on prep time even more by doubling or tripling the recipes. While you’re at it, freeze some for postpartum recovery.

Nausea-friendly: I’ve specifically included some recipes that can be helpful during the nausea phase following the guidance outlined in Ch 7 of Real Food for Pregnancy. Twelve of the recipes are specifically nausea-friendly.

Gestational diabetes-friendly: I designed all of the recipes to be blood sugar-friendly, so if you have gestational diabetes, you can enjoy everything within this cookbook. Even the desserts feature low amounts of sweeteners and have an innate balance of macronutrients (no naked carbs!) to prevent blood sugar spikes and keep you satiated.

Gluten-free: Many of my readers prefer to eat gluten-free (or grain-free). All the recipes are naturally gluten-free, even the Spiced Banana-Nut Muffins!

Embracing real food prenatal nutrition has never been easier and more delicious with these prenatal dietitian-developed recipes.

Allergens/dietary restrictions:

  • 24/30 recipes are dairy-free (or have specific modifications to be dairy-free)
  • All recipes are gluten-free
  • 26/30 are egg-free

Quick to prep and tasty!

Lily's e-cookbook has become my favorite resource for creating healthy and tasty dishes. With my hectic lifestyle, I appreciate how quick and simple her recipes are to prepare, particularly the ones for the Instant Pot and slow cooker. Even my picky eater (age 4) likes a lot of these recipes - huge win for us.

So good! My family has loved all the recipes so far!

I figured I'd just use these recipes for myself (currently nursing, but looking to TTC my next baby within the year), but to my surprise, my family has loved all the recipes I've made so far.

What I appreciate most is the simplicity of the recipes. They are straightforward and practical for busy families, yet the ingredients are carefully chosen to pack in as many nutrients as possible. Definitely make the banana muffins! And the Korean beef bowls. And the chicken tortilla soup!

I also love that the recipes don't repeat what's in Lily's other books.

Loved every recipe I’ve tried!

Easy recipes, family friendly, ingredients that are available just about anywhere… love Lily’s cookbook!! The recipes are a great compliment to the ones in her other books (I have Real Food for Fertility and Real Food for Pregnancy).

Wonderful recipes, easy to follow!

This e-cookbook has become an essential part of my weekly meal prep routine, especially during pregnancy. The variety of recipes have creative ways to make sure I'm getting key nutrients, but in a way that actually tastes good. I appreciate the gorgeous photographs with each recipe. One thing I love about Lily's recipes is the instructions are super clear, step-by-step. It makes cooking a breeze, even for those of us who aren't culinary experts.

My go-to resource for nutritious and tasty recipes

Lily's e-cookbook is my go-to for delicious and nutritious meals. She even manages to make liver taste good! As someone with a busy schedule, I love the fast and easy recipes, especially the Instant Pot and slow cooker options. Plus, the nausea-friendly recipes really helped me during those queasy first months. 10/10
